The WBO has informed representatives of WBO cruiserweight champion Krzystof Glowacki and undefeated Oleksandr Usyk that a purse bid will be held June 9 at the Affinia Hotel in New York City. The minimum acceptable bid is $300,000. WBO President Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel will preside. Glowacki (26-0, 16 KOs) will be making the second defense of his title that he won in an upset against Marco Huck in August of last year, Glowacki beat Steve Cunningham in April in a first defence in Brooklyn. Oleksandr Usyk has been consistently avoided since turning pro in 2013, Usyk is (9-0, 9 KOs) is the 2012 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist and the WBO’s #1 contender.
