Parker v Fury rescheduled to Manchester Uk.
Hennessy Sports and Duco Promotions, representatives of both Joseph Parker and Hughie Fury, have today announced that the long awaited WBO heavyweight title fight between the two has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 23 at the Manchester Arena, Uk. Fury pulled out of the original Auckland date in May with a severe back injury, which has since healed.. Hughie is due to box a tuneup on July 8th at the Copper Box Arena in London, but following that he's raring to go.. Parker is equally excited at the prospect of defending his title in Britain, of which he refers to as the current home of heavyweight boxing, following recent success with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury..
Parker, 23/0 18 Ko's last defended his title in May when he outpointed Razvan Cojanu over 12.. Hughie who is currently 20/0 10 Ko's last boxed 16 months ago winning a technical decision over Fred Kassi following a cut eye..
