Unbeaten Floyd Schofield 19-0 (13 KOs) needed just 78 seconds to demolish former world champion Tevin Farmer 33-9-1 (8 KOs) in the very first round to score a statement victory and stamp his authority on the lightweight division.
A looping right thrown over the jab dropped Farmer heavily after only 40 seconds, Tevin rose at 6 and was offered the opportunity to continue as Schofield jumped on him immediately with a relentless assault, dropping Farmer for a second time with a right hand left hook after only a minute of the round. Once again Farmer made the count and appeared passable to continue. Unfortunately Schofield only needed a further right hand, left hook, right hand to force referee Gerard White to halt the proceedings half way through the opener.
Schofield appears to have a bright future in a very lucrative division, packed with some mouthwatering match ups. Farmer has now lost his 4th fight in a row and may need to seriously consider his future in the sport.
