Former Heavyweight world title challenger and former IBF champion, Gerald Washington 20-3-1 (13 Ko’s) and Charles Martin 27-2-1 (24 Ko’s) both scored stoppage victories on Saturday night at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.. Charles took his time softening up a game Daniel Martz 18-6-1 (15 Ko’s) before scoring a couple of knockdowns and stopping him at 2:03 of the fourth.. While El Gallo Negro came from behind in a gruelling fight to score a knockout of veteran Robert Helenius 28-3 (17 Ko’s) with a right hand in the 8th.. Helenius, nose bloodied was showing signs of fatigue despite leading in the bout.. Both guys expected to make appearances against respectable opposition in mid September..
