ESPN has announced plans to televise a world championship doubleheader at New York’s Madison Square Garden on December 14 featuring WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford and the IBF lightweight champion Richard Commey in separate co features.. Crawford 35-0 (26 KOs) will meet the WBO #1 mandatory challenger Egidijus Kavaliauskas 21-0-1 (17 KOs), while Commey 29-2 (26 KOs) would meet the IBF #1 mandatory challenger Teofimo Lopez 14-0 (11 KOs). The only other addition to the card that has been scheduled so far is an appearance by Irish featherweight prospect Michael Conlan 12-0 (7 KOs) who is proposed to box a 10 rounder against an opponent to be announced nearer to the event.
