Canadian referee Marlon Wright passes.

On a regretful note, I'm sad to report that highly respected world class referee Marlon B Wright passed away peacefully on Thursday at his home in Montreal Canada. Wright had battled skin cancer privately for a long time, and was only 51 years old.. Marlon had refereed or judged hundreds of high profile championship bouts globally, and will always be remembered for his handling of the Lucien Bute v Librado Andrade, IBF championship bout in 2008 when he rescued the beaten Bute for several seconds to send Andrade to a neutral corner in a crucial moment, saving Bute's title.. Marlon more recently officiated the Kell Brook v Gennady Golovkin fight along with the David Lemieux v Hassan N'Dam bout.. Marlon leaves behind a son and a daughter. RIP.
