Okolie makes it 4 out of 4 at the O2.

Undefeated Uk Olympic Heavyweight representative Lawrence Okolie boxed his 4th professional outing tonight at the O2, against Russell Henshaw (7-5, 2 Ko's) in a scheduled 6 rounder at Cruiserweight. Okolie was scheduled to box Henshaw in previous outings, originally on his debut back in March on the Crolla v Linares card in Manchester, each time failing to materialise.. On paper Hanshaw should have provided a stubborn test for the hard punching Londoner, yet within a minute of the opener it was evident that Okolie's tenacity and punch variety was too much for the Derby fighter, who was forced to take a count from a vicious body shot early... Moments later despite a gallant show of bravado Henshaw was forced to succumb to another solid body shot.. upon rising Russell appeared vulnerable to Okolies oncoming attack, forcing the referee to step in with 50 seconds left in the round.. Okolie a likeable fighter who is referred to as 'The Sauce' these days looks to have the dimensions to support a move up to heavyweight in the future, an evidently heavy puncher who's tally now stands at 3 Wins all Knockouts inside a single round.. A recent tense meeting between fellow cruiserweight contenders Okolie and Isaac Chamberlain has lit the fuse to what could potentially be a huge domestic clash down the line..
