Dubois stops game Lartey in 4.

At The SSE, Wembley tonight, Undefeated Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois 10-0 (9 Ko’s) overcame some rocky moments before knocking out Ghana’s Richard Lartey 14-1 (11 Ko’s) in the fourth of a scheduled 10 rounder.. Lartey who arrived late due to visa issues showed grit in the early rounds, attempting to match Dubois with heavy weaponry..
Dubois managed to dig in and trouble the visitor frequently, but looked too eager to take risks, finding himself disorganised in the 3rd following a dangerous series of traded hooks between the two.. Dubois maintained his composure in round 4, settled back behind the jab and soon found Lartey an ideal target.. Halfway through the session, Lartey walked into a right hand, left hook combination that dropped him heavily.. Nose bloodied, Lartey attempted to rise but was counted out on his feet by Bob Williams at 1:50..
Dubois looks all set now to meet fellow undefeated Brit, Joe Joyce in a British title affair, later in the year.. Regardless of the spectacular victory tonight, this wasn’t Daniels beat effort..
