Ghanaian Heavyweight Champion, Richard Lartey 14-1, claims that a dirty tricks campaign by Frank Warren, halted the heavyweights entry into the country on Wednesday to fulfil media obligations for his bout with Daniel Dubois 10-0 (9 Ko’s) this weekend.. Lartey finally received the green flag to come to the UK, two days later, and intends to roadblock Dubois muted British title fight with Joe Joyce, scheduled for later in the year.. Lartey told Mirageboxing, “Dubois has been spoon fed Baby food, easy work.. He hasn’t faced anyone like me.. I’m African, I’m not going out like that.. My win over Dubois is a door open for a fight with Anthony Joshua.” Lartey stands at 6 foot 5, and appears defiant by demeanour, a win over Daniel could thrust the Ghanaian into a meeting with Joe Joyce, but ambitions of a Joshua fight in reality are light years away.. The African is in the Uk at last, and tomorrow’s fight with Dubois is back on.. Saturdays card from the O2, will feature Sunny Edwards, Zak Chelli and Jack Catterall..
