Chisora v Parker almost a go for October in the UK.

A fight between former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker 26-2 (20 KOs) and Uk’s Former WBC title challenger and longtime world ranked Derek Chisora 31-9 (22 KOs) is in the pipeline, and according to reliable sources is almost a go, possibly for an October date.. Former Duco Promotions boss and longtime Parker promoter David Higgins testifies,
“It’s pretty close to being done.. It’s been talked about for months and we finally received an offer yesterday which we will accept.. The email we received is for October in London and we will take the offer.. “
Higgins does appear a little put out that Parker v Chisora may not be a main event on the date, and that his fighter will once again be regarded as the B side of the matchup, stating that when Joseph last appeared on UK shores he took part in one of the biggest pay per views in UK history and ironically we back to being the opponent...
The outspoken Higgins also went on the have a poke at negotiation counterparts, David Haye and Eddie Hearn, explaining that doing business on this occasion has been extremely difficult..
“I do like Haye and Hearn, but they’re very wealthy British toffs.. Communications has been very poor on their side.. For the Joshua v Parker fight, Hearn was returning my calls immediately, but for this, I’ve been ignored for the most part of the dealings..”
Chisora is coming off an impressive knockout of Artur Spilka only weeks ago, whilst Parker most recently struggled to a 10th round stoppage of the overmatched Alex Leapai in Rhode Island in June..
